We are a 'voluntary aided school', which means the school is established by an organisation other than the Local Education Authority (LEA) - in our case the Church of England. | |
|
We decide on our own admission arrangements and can give special emphasis to a Christian religious education, whilst never forgetting the importance of providing the pupils with a broad understanding of the world and its peoples. We foster close links with various Christian churches and denominations, which are represented by the Governing Body. |
The running costs of the school are met by the LEA and are funded in the usual way out of income tax and the council charge. However, the school buildings themselves belong to the Church of England and the governors are responsible for meeting the costs of any repairs or imiprovements that are carried out.
