Welcome back to the start of our new school year. Please remember that this website does not only keep you informed of what is happening around school, but all letters are available through this website as well as the facility to make any enquiries.

We are a 'voluntary aided school', which means the school is established by an organisation other than the Local Education Authority (LEA) - in our case the Church of England.
This gives us specific rights and responsibilites which differ from those of non-aided schools. In particular, the school staff are appointed and employed by the governors rather than the LEA, with just over half of the governors themselves appointed by the Church of England Diocesan Board of Education and Dodworth Parochial Church Council.

We decide on our own admission arrangements and can give special emphasis to a Christian religious education, whilst never forgetting the importance of providing the pupils with a broad understanding of the world and its peoples. We foster close links with various Christian churches and denominations, which are represented by the Governing Body.

The running costs of the school are met by the LEA and are funded in the usual way out of income tax and the council charge. However, the school buildings themselves belong to the Church of England and the governors are responsible for meeting the costs of any repairs or imiprovements that are carried out.
